Where we work
Our primary areas of geographic focus are the Mountainous regions of Gorno Badakshan in Tajikistan and the Northern areas of Pakistan in Gilgit-Baltistan. Our work in Tajikistan covers the entire region from Rushan and the Bartang Valley to Ishkasim and on to Murghab. In Gilgit-Baltistan, our work has been centered around Sherqilla, Gahkuch, Ishkoman and Darkut.

Foundation to Support Education Worldwide is a 501c (3) exempt organization under the US Treasury regulations. The Foundation is classified as a Private Foundation and is able to raise funds publicly for its exempt purposes. Donors are allowed to take a deduction for their donations subject to Private Foundation donation limitations.
In some cases, we have supported the repair and on-going support of medical centers that cater to women and children that allows them to productively engage in society and the economy.

Educating the Future
Over the last 11 years, the Foundation has been involved in a number of projects supporting educational activities in Northern Pakistan and in Tajikistan. These projects range from helping pay tuition for students from Middle School, High School and, in some cases, college fees to the reconstruction of dilapidated school buildings, adding capacity to existing buildings, supporting students living in dormitories and paying for the costs of running Early Childhood Education Centers.
Providing educational equipment
We have supported and directly funded English classes in Rushan and Khorog, Tajikistan and continue to provide on-going training for teachers in Early Childhood Development skills in Dushanbe and Rushan in Tajikistan. An Education Center, set up in Rushan has been set up with Wi-fi enabled Video conferencing so that students can participate in learning activities offered from Dushanbe.

We have brought Khan Academy courses to remote regions in Pakistan and Tajikistan with the supply of computers loaded with this software along with other electronic equipment that allow for local area networks to be set up, accessible by any wi-fi enabled device, containing educational resources from around the world.
We have provided training to teachers to use these devices (see link, https://worldpossible.org/) so that internet resources can be made available to students in remote regions where on line capabilities are limited.
